To optimize the reception of antenna systems, you must ensure that the antenna base or ground strap is optimally grounded:

Remove paint from the contact points with workshop equipment and protect against corrosion with suitable contact paste and also treat the antenna rod wire and the antenna base wire to optimize contact.
