This attachment also works great on a mountain bike. It is important to keep an eye on the thickness of the handlebar/seat post, but if it fits it is a great tool for mounting a bicycle on a tailgate carrier.

I ordered this for a children's bike. It just didn't fit between the stem and seatpost. But because you can rotate the tubes, we attached one side to the handlebars and the other under the seatpost. That way it fit and the bike could go with it. So satisfied
