Air conditioning fan for car
When you drive, the wind cools the air conditioning gas in your condenser. This gas then cools the air that is blown into your car. When you are stationary and there is no wind, the air conditioning fan cools the refrigerant gas. It is therefore important to ensure that the fan is working properly, because a defect can cause the entire air conditioning system to overheat.
How does the air conditioning fan in a car work? The car air conditioning fan is the component that blows cooled air past the condenser. It works with other components of the air conditioning system, such as the air conditioning pump and air conditioning dryer, to keep the car cool on hot days.
When the air conditioning is turned on, the air conditioning pump is activated and the refrigerant gas begins to circulate. In the condenser, the refrigerant gas is under high pressure and is therefore very warm.
The refrigerant gas is cooled by the cold air that the fan blows along the cooling fins. The refrigerant then goes to the expansion valve, where it loses pressure and the temperature drops further. Finally, the cold air is blown into your car by the evaporator and heater fan.
Is the air conditioning fan in my car broken? If your air conditioning fan is broken, you will notice this in several ways. Firstly, the air coming out of the air conditioning is not as cold as normal. However, this can have several reasons. If you notice that the air is especially too warm when you are stationary, this is a good indication that the defect lies with the air conditioning fan.
This does not necessarily mean that the fan is broken, it is also possible that it can no longer run due to contamination.
